[There are some days when Motonari still isn't sure how he ended up here: in this cozy little two bedroom apartment with a bird, a cat, and the man he previously would have considered his rival - a nuisance - turned lover. It's been years since they've been together and he still wonders.

They've had their ups and downs, of course. Motonari is not the easiest to get along with let alone love, and that's not something he's willing to apologize for. Especially when, for someone like him, Motochika is just as difficult to deal with. All fire and compassionate to a fault. Ever sympathetic and big hearted. But also loud in his stubbornness and general existence, he was the exact opposite of Motonari. But they make it work. Despite all odds, Motonari loves him.

They've gotten close enough that Motonari is confident in his ability to read Motochika's moods. So he knows something has been on the other man's mind lately. However, that's where Motonari's ability to read his lover's moods stops. He knows something is on Motochika's mind but he can't even begin to guess what it might be at the moment.

Whatever it is, it hasn't been making Motochika sulk just yet so Motonari has been able to ignore it for now. But when Motochika knocks on his door, Motonari knows it's finally time to confront the thing nagging at the larger man.

He only hopes it's worth interrupting his reading.

He would normally call to him. He would make Motochika open the door and enter himself. But this time Motonari goes to Motochika. He swings the door open himself without answering Motochika's initial call.

Motonari's expression is bored but not irritated, and he's already leveling his gaze with Motochika's.]

What is it.
