[Keaton had done an oopsie. Last full moon, Keatonh ad lost himself, gotten a little too into a moment with Laslow, bitten a little too hard, and done a very big oopsie. He turned Laslow into a wolfskin. An while he did think being a wolfskin was very awesome, way better than being human he didn't get why Laslow was so upset at first, he did still feel a little guilty.
Laslow is his mate, so Keaton was always going to take care of him regardless of what happened, but now Keaton is extra taking caring of him. He's taking responsibility for his actions and help ease Laslow into the whole wolfskin thing. So he's never that far away from Laslow. Even now, Keaton's only a hop skip away from Laslow so he hears that yelp loud and clear.
He just doesn't see what's caused the yelp. So as soon as he hears it, Keaton comes barreling in Laslow's direction ready to maul whatever is causing his mate distress.] Laslow!!
