[Ashe (and His Highness by extension) are keeping a secret.
Dedue is not the most keen to these sorts of things but Dimitri is honest, in everything he does, to a fault so it’s easy to tell with him. And Ashe. Well. Ashe is better at keeping secrets but something is clearly not right in regards to him. For instance, how he (and again, His Highness by extension) have not been straight forward about Ashe not being a part of the knights (made clear by how Ashe’s schedule differs greatly from the other knights and Dedue is often brushing sawdust out of his hair when he visits) but have made no effort to tell him otherwise.
Something is fishy.
But Dedue will not pry.
They are both allowed their privacy.
