First, there's Dimitri, one of Sylvain's childhood friends and the recently crowned king of Faerghus. The man's had a lot on his plate since his coronation - and not that he's ever been one for taking a breather, let alone getting a decent night's sleep, but he can see how heavily his duties (his penance) weigh on him. How stress and exhaustion cling to him like the ghosts that haunted (still haunt?) his every waking moment. Unlike some of the others, Sylvain understands that Dimitri's got shit he needs to make up for - cruelly stealing the lives of countless innocent people, ignoring the plight of his nation for the sake of revenge - but running himself into the ground like this isn't going to do any good. Even he deserves a break every once in a while.
Then there's Felix, another one of his childhood friends. Ever since his father's death, Sylvain's noticed some of the ice around his heart melt. He actually... likes being in Dimitri's presence. Likes Dimitri, even. But he's too stubborn to admit it - or maybe scared? Either way, their attraction ("their", because the feelings are mutual) is clear as day to everyone except them. So maybe he has to play a little dirty, to force Felix to act. It's for the best, really! If they get together, they'll both be happier!
