[Dimitri and Sylvain may have been childhood friends, but it's not often that Sylvain seeks him out. So he is perplexed, to say the least, when Sylvain comes knocking at his door.
He opens the door, cautious. He looks beyond Sylvain and down the hall.] How can I help you, Sylvain? If you're seeking asylum from another spurned woman, I won't have it. Not after last time.
[Dimitri frowns at the memory. Sylvain had hid out in his room only temporarily but even after he left, the poor woman had continued knocking and weeping at his door for days. Worse yet, she had been horrified when she learned that she had been knocking at the king's door. He'd never seen someone go so pale so fast!
[ Sylvain laughs. Though it may have not been the best experience for Dimitri, they both know he'd do it all over again if Sylvain needed him. That's just the kind of guy he is - loyal to a fault to his loved ones.
But. ] It's nothing like that, I swear! I'm actually here to see you. [ He steps through the doorway to throw his arm around Dimitri's shoulder. ]
It's been a while since you've gotten out of the castle, hasn't it? How about you go to town with me, and we get some dinner. Just you and me.
[Well. That does sound nice. It has been a long time since he's gotten out. And it's been a long time since he's spent time alone with Sylvain. Dimitri wouldn't mind it.
He can't help but still be a little skeptical.] Just you and me?
[ The skepticism is understood - how many times has he tried to make Dimitri or another unfortunate male friend of theirs his wingman? But he honestly has no plans to flirt with any women on their outing. ] Just you and me this time, I promise. I'm here to spend some time with you, not some girl.
[ If Dimitri thinks he still has some ulterior motive, though, he wouldn't be wrong. What he told Felix earlier is this: he can't keep denying his feelings. Dimitri, king of all Fodlan, would be quite a catch for any woman or man. And as king of a still fracture nation, he'll need to find a partner - and fast. If he doesn't act soon, well... someone will snatch Dimitri up.
Maybe even Sylvain himself.
(truthfully, he has no romantic interest in dimitri. the guy's incredibly handsome, sure, but he prefers them softer. but felix doesn't need to know that.)
He flashes his childhood friend a charming smile. ] So, what do you say? Will you let me steal you away?
[ In a true, theatrically-proper manner, Sylvain takes Dimitri's hand and kisses the back of it. But then he laughs and, as promised, promptly steals him away.
The restaurant they end up at is hardly glamorous - Sylvain's only been here a handful of times, and never on purpose - but the food's tasty (they've got a cheesy stew that's to die for), and he's sure Dimitri will appreciate going somewhere that doesn't scream Hi I'm Wealthy at the top of its lungs. And it's busy enough that they, the literal King of Faerghus and Margrave Gautier, don't draw too much attention as they're brought to one of the few remaining open tables.
Over the slow, dinnertime music played by a troupe of performers, Sylvain asks, loud enough for Dimitri to hear him across the table. ] So? Pretty good choice, am I right?

But something about being "stolen away" sells him further.] Steal me away then. I'll allow it.
[He offers Sylvain a smile in contrast to his very princely agreement.]
